The Research Group

The research group on Theoderic of Verona/Dietrich von Bern at the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures of the University of Verona was established within the framework of the Departmental Excellence Project 2023–2027 on Inclusive Humanities. Its aim is to promote and reassess one of the most significant heroic figures of the Germanic literary traditions. To this end, the group organises scholarly activities (conferences, seminars, publications) as well as third mission and public engagement initiatives, with particular attention to the dissemination of knowledge through digital media.

In line with the goals of the Excellence Project, the website and its digital content are designed with a strong focus on inclusion and accessibility, with the aim of reaching a broad and diverse audience in terms of expertise, needs, and linguistic-cultural background.
